Hypernietzsche Developer's Site

The HyperNietzsche Project aims at creating an infrastructure for collective and networked scholarship. This infrastructure will first be applied to and tested on Nietzsche's oeuvre, but it will eventually be applicable to the work of other authors, to historical periods, to the contents of archives, or to philosophical problems.

It is thus not a matter of digitizing and networking the texts by and about Nietzsche, nor of preparing an electronic edition that would be made available to the public as a finished product, but rather, of creating a research instrument that will allow a delocalized community of specialists to work in a cooperative and cumulative manner and to publish the results of their work worldwide on the internet.

It is not only a library of electronic texts made available on line, more or less well-indexed and outfitted with keyword searching capabilities. It is rather a genuine hypertext system that allows Nietzsche's texts and manuscripts to be arranged chronologically, genetically, or thematically, and what is more, allows for a systematic interconnection of primary sources and secondary literature via hyperlinks.

The current version of HyperNietzsche is located at: http://www.hypernietzsche.org/

This site is intended to be used by developers to share code, documentation, and everything that's related to the Computer Science activities of the project.
